Discovering an island by sea is an old Maritime tradition, such as long ago when the first Tahitians arrived in the Hawaiian Islands by outrigger canoe. Later, they were followed by the British ships, Resolution and Discovery, which first dropped anchor in Kauai in 1778. Moving forward to today, island exploration by boat is still an Adventure of New Discovery…

Your own private tour, that is what Captain Joe offers. From the early start time and six person limit to the personalized cave tours you really feel special. Five of us went out for a midweek tour and beat all the others to the coast. The Northside dock is great for people staying in Princeville. I liked the large zodiac and riding the waves, a much more adventurous tour than a big boat. My wife and family really enjoyed the food and snacks that he provided.
Joe told us enough about the coast and trails that when we visited Waimea Canyon from the Southside we felt confident enough to hike from one of the overlooks out to the Na Pali cliffs. Probably would not have done this without his advice about the island geography.
Snorkeling and refreshment was a good way to end the tour..
Caption Joe LiCona is the best. We have visited Kauai 3 times over the years and we always call and schedule a tour with Bali Hai Tours. His crew are so helpful and knowledgeable about the island. Each time we have brought new friends and family and we all enjoy it so much. Joe tells about the history of Kauai as u travel the Napali coast, we saw dolphins, turtles and snorkeled the reefs with beautiful fish. Went on hikes and fell in love with this island. Gonna miss Wodie next time, he was and incredible Sea Dog, Can’t to go back again
